Join us for the Amsterdam Living Lab Tour, 21.05.26, 14:00-15:30

We are pleased to invite you to a live demonstration of the BIN2BEAN Amsterdam Living Lab, hosted by AMS Institute, located at Kattenburgerstraat 5, Building 027W, 1018 JA Amsterdam.

The event will take place on Thursday, 21 May 2026, from 14:00 to 15:30 at the AMS Institute. More information about the location can be found here: Google Maps

As part of the Bin2Bean initiative, this session will present an innovative approach to food waste collection and pre-treatment in high-rise buildings. At the Kitchen Sink Grinder (KSG) Lab, participants will learn how food waste can be processed with minimal water and transported through a dedicated system to the building’s basement, where it is separated into solid and liquid streams. The objective is to enable effective and accessible food waste collection in newly built high-rise environments.

During the visit, attendees will be introduced to the KSG Lab, observe fully operational grinders in action, and experience a live demonstration using synthetic food waste. The session will also include an overview of two different dewatering technologies currently under development.

This interactive demonstration offers a valuable opportunity to engage directly with researchers and explore scalable solutions for more sustainable urban waste management.

Participants are invited to register in advance to secure their spot via the following link: Registration Form
