On March 20, 2025, Bin2Bean partners hosted the online workshop “Biowaste & Waste Charging Systems in the EU: Best Practices, Challenges and Solutions.”
Experts from European cities and the biowaste sector shared experiences on improving waste separation and designing fair waste charging systems.

The session featured case studies from Düsseldorf, Albano Laziale, Parma, Vienna, and Spain, highlighting both successes and challenges like waste quality in multi-apartment buildings and public acceptance of PAYT systems. Technology, citizen engagement, and tailored local solutions emerged as key strategies.
